The provincial government recently granted P500,000 through the initiative of Dr. Estrella P. Fernandez, Board Member, 2nd District, to 12 municipalities of the province as an assistance in the completion of their various infrastructure projects.
In the municipalities of Abulug and Allacapan, at least 9 barangays were granted an amount of P5,000 each for the completion of various projects.
The amount of P80,000 was also granted for the towns of Buguey and Ballesteros while the various development projects in the municipalities of Claveria and Lasam amounted to P90,000.
Furthermore, the assistance given for various projects in the towns of Lallo, Pamplona and Piat amounted to P105,000 while P180,000 was granted to the municipalities of Rizal, Sanchez Mira and Sto. Niño.
The financial grant in all 12 municipalities was used to improve and complete pending projects, such as: barangay halls, school buildings, day care centers, public toilets, deep water systems, irrigation canals, health centers, sports centers and streetlights, among others.
Dr. Estrella P. Fernandez expressed confidence the realization of the development projects would improve the quality of life of the Cagayanos particularly in the said areas.
